It was up and back on the road today. Drove the long lonely roads of Texas. Never have seen so many acres of scrub brush. After six hours of driving we packed it in at a campground right on Hwy. 90. Very nice campground but no one was in the Registration Office so we picked a site and spent the night. There were instructions on the door to pay in the morning.

I didn’t feel like cooking so we walked across the highway to an unusual place called the Oasis Outback Barbecue and Grille. At first glance it appeared to be a restaurant but it was actually a store that sold every variation of hunting equipment you could imagine. They had hunting stands or huts lined up out front and more guns, ammunition and knives then you could count. After looking around we did find the restaurant in the middle of the store. The food was Texas style, good and cheap.
